christmas is coming and although I would love to ignore it until the week it arrives, you can't with kids can you? It is much too expensive to do in one big hit. I always get Dunnes stamps when I do the shopping - do it all year so at Christmas I have a couple of hundred euro to spend on the little darlings or on extra food - yum.
Can't who more…

I totally agree, if it had been my daughter that some wee so-and-so had thrown a banger at, I would be straight onto the parents of those involved and if I got nowhere the police would be next on the list. I wouldn't get my brother to go and single out one child to give him a beating.
Sadly, in the area I live the 'boys' still think t more…

There will always be troublemakers, i would ring the police or try and get some of the kids involved in some sort of buddy type scheme. I have to say if someone threw a lit firework at my child I would be straight onto the police more…

Here's hoping. It used to be a place in Southern California but it's way too expensive. I have since been told about this gorgeous little island off the coast of Venezuala which is actually affordable! Beach house for $200,000. And I checked, no earthquakes or hurricanes and the lowest ever recorded temperature was 20 Celsius :D more…

At least you are planning for the future. I think everyone should be financially independent, I am not, and I really wish I was. I think you feel less trapped if you have your own money. Good luck with it, you will get there and be walking along that beach :D more…

Your weekend sounds about as good as mine! In fact it sounds almost identical with the exception of my having to go to the bloody gym and do an hour on the treadmill both days - shouldn't have got drunk and agreed to walk up a mountain - that'll teach me!
The thought of choccie sounds good and go for those drums too!

Sometimes it is just time to end friendships and move on, sounds like this one went on slightly too long. Don't beat yourself up about it, if it's over then it's over. Who knows, one of these acquaintences may turn out to be a very good friend.

Thats how I felt with little bastard before it all went tits up. I hope FW is made of sterner stuff, you have a right to happiness as much as anyone else. At the end of the day if ur not happy then ur no use to ur kids (I grew up in a house where pretty much everyone was miserable and it was shit). Thanks for visiting. I know my son is capable of doing better than he does but he's just not academic. And a part of me feels bad pushing him cos when I left school, dropped out I guess, I really hated it and I know from personal experience that kids in grammar schools can be left to fall behind cos there are certain expectations made of them. OMG this resonates with me so much just now. maybe you should try talking to f*kwit about how you are feeling. they honestly do go around with heads in the sand and often fail to see the obvious even when it is standing in front of them scowling and screaming at the kids.
